April 16th - Tuesday
We headed to Florida on April 16th at 8:15am to pick up our new travel trailer. Once we realized that a travel trailer would suit our needs, we started shopping for the "right one" for us. We decided on a 2013 Lance 2285 and we were purchasing it at Lazy Days in Seffner. We shared the driving and made great time. We were doing so well and the dogs were doing so good, that we drove straight through to Seffner. We arrived somewhere around 6:30pm and checked into the hotel that is right on the Lazy Days property. We fed the dogs and took them for a walk over to see if we could find our camper. And we did!! It was already in the delivery lot ... AND it was unlocked. It was exactly what we hoped for. It is roomy with tons of storage. We both are so excited to get into it 'legally' tomorrow.

April17th - Wednesday
We all slept well in the king-size bed last night. The boys stayed with me while Cas headed over to Lazy Days to get the hitch put on the truck with the weight distribution bars. We have a Blue Ox hitch. She also got the paperwork started to make it easier since we had to keep the dogs with us. We checked out of the hotel and went to complete the paperwork process. We took turns going in and signing so the dogs could stay cool in the truck. We had lunch, shopped at Camping World and once the paperwork was done, we were moving into our new camper.
We had dinner Kathy and Diane who drove up from North Ft. Myers on their way to Orlando. We met their new puppy Mandy and they met our Wally.
April 18th - Thursday
The four of us slept pretty good. Patrick is pretty used to having a camper, Wally needs a lot of reassurance. Between the hotel room and the camper, he is pretty nervous. The only time he is completely relaxed is when he is in the truck.
By early afternoon, the punch list on the truck and camper was done and we decided to head to Mayport. We gassed up the truck and hooked up the camper. It was so easy, we were both thrilled and scared that it really was that easy!!
We were on the road at 2:45pm. We kind of thought an hour in to the ride that maybe we should have waited but we were both wanting to get going. We got to NS Mayport at around 7pm. We were staying at Osprey Cove until Sunday. The dogs did fantastic again. We unhooked, leveled and fed the dogs. It is a nice campground, lots of trees and big sites.
April 21st - Sunday
We moved over to Pelican Roost, our favorite campground. We are in the front row, also our favorite. It is crazy windy here. We had to drive the dogs back over to Osprey Cove campground to walk them because of that wind. We are glad that there is a big Class A parked next to us because it is helping block some wind.
April 23rd - Tuesday
The Nor'easter that was driving the wind and rain is finally gone. We can be outside watching the boats and enjoying our beautiful view.
April 28 - Saturday
We drove home today and made the trip in one day. We love the camper, it will most certainly suit all our needs.

After spending nearly 9 years thinking about it, we finally bought our first Class C RV! We believe in living life to its fullest and enjoying each moment we have!
